Why Set Goals?

“If you shoot for nothing, you’re sure to hit it.”

Proverbs 3:21-23, “My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.”

Why Set Goals?
I. IT’S A MATTER OF STEWARDSHIP. (Proverbs 6:6-8)

II. IT’S A MATTER OF MEASURMENT.

III. IT’S A MATTER OF PROSPERITY. (Proverbs 21:5)
Set goals and then WORK HARD to reach them.

What KIND OF Goals Should I Set?

Do they pass the GOD TEST?
a. Can I honestly ask God’s help in striving to reach this goal?
b. Will I be a better person for accomplishing this goal?

2. GOALS THAT ARE S M A R T.
S. SPECIFIC -Six W’s- Who, What, Where, When, Which, Why
M. MEASURABLE-“If you can’t measure it, you can’t mange it”,
- John Maxwell

3. GOALS I’M WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE for. Philippians 3:10-11
