Click here to download Principles of Miracles : The Principle of Humility

Principle of Purpose – simply seeking miracles with a sideshow mentality can hinder your personal miracle.
Principle of Obedience – disobedience can hinder the miraculous work of God in our life.
Principle of Humility – pride will rob us of our miracles and answers to prayer.
“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” – James 4:6, & 1 Pet. 5:5,

PRIDE – typhoo = to be conceited; to raise a smoke or mist; to think highly of oneself; to self-promote; self reliance
HUMILITY – tapeinos = not rising far from the ground; debased; gentleness; meekness; to have a deep sense of one’s littleness; having a humble opinion of oneself.

I) THE NOBLEMAN
Warning: Proverb 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Therefore: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” 1 Pet. 5:6.

II) THE RESPONSE OF JESUS
 (48)  “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
“Sir, come down before my child dies!”

III) THE HEALING WORD
“Go your way; your son lives.”
Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God
So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.” (50)

Here is the progression:
The man came to Jesus in humility.
He was not discouraged when his faith was tested.
He continued to ask for his miracle.
He received a Word from Jesus.

Here is the progression:
He believed the Word that Jesus spoke.
He obeyed the instruction of Jesus to go on home.

IV) THE CONFIRMATION OF THE MIRACLE
“Your son lives!”
“believed, and his whole household.” (53)
Hebrews says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Heb 11:1.
