Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. - Heb. 10:25

If oral culture is tribal and literate culture is individual, the electronic age is essentially a tribe of individuals.

So we become keepers of the aquarium rather than senders into the harvest field.

1. THE PRICE OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.  - Hebrews 10:19-20

We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. - 1 John 5:19-20

2. THE PURITY OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. - Hebrews 10:21-22

Who do you know that has had their conscience sprinkled with Christ’s blood?

Who do you know that has placed their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation?

Who do you know that has committed him or herself to following Jesus and doing His will for the rest of their lives?

If we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. - 1 John 1:7

3. THE PURPOSE OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

1) To motivate one another

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. – Hebrews 10:24

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. - Ephesians 4:14-15

2) To encourage one another

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. – Hebrews 10:25

When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. – Romans 1:12

So encourage each other with these words.  - 1 Thessalonians 4:18

4. THE PRIORITY OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. - Hebrews 10:25
