How to Gain Deliverance

Ephesians 6:18-20

If I want different fruit, I must change the root.

Is my prayer based on the word? Is it authorative?
Four aspects of Warfare Prayer:

I. Intercessory Prayer (Mark 9; Luke 22)
God's power falls where prayer prevails.

II. Consistent Prayer (verse 18)
Prayer is the atmosphere in which we fight.
Ask God to expand the horizons of your prayer!

III. Intense Prayer (verse 18b)

IV. Strategic Prayer (verse 18)

ATTAINING DELIVERANCE
1. The cause of demonic influence can start with small, seemingly-innocent things. It can be caused by worshipping something other than God.

2. The confirmation of demonic influence:

Rage (I Samuel 18:10)
Extreme physical strength (Mark 5:3)
Multiple personalities (Mark 5:6-7)
Occult powers (Acts 16:16)
Lack of control over temptation (James 1:14-15)

3. The cure for demonic influence:

Reclaim your position in Christ (submit to the Lordship of Christ)
Confess all known sin
Destroy occult objects
Trust in Christs's work on the cross
