1. YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR HEART. Psalms 51:1-2 Psalms 51:3-4

2. YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR MIND. Psalms 51:4

We gladly TAKE CREDIT for our accomplishments, but we often BLAME our failures on extenuating circumstances?

3. YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR DIRECTION. Psalms 51:7-12
Too often we are guilty of trying to CLEAN ourselves up and make ourselves “GOOD”.

• Spend time alone with God on a consistent basis.
• Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
• Ask God to give us a sense of joy.
• Ask for the power to be consistent.
• Look for the chance to help others. Psalms 51:13

Joy is not so much a FEELING as it is recognition that you have PLEASED the heart of God

HOW TO OVERCOME TEMPTATION

Fact #1 – EVERYONE IS TEMPTED
Temptation is the desire to sin, sin only takes place when we GIVE INTO that desire.
When you are tempted it doesn’t mean that you’re WEAK, or that there is something WRONG with you.

Fact #2 – EVERY TEMPTATION CAN BE OVERCOME

Fact #3 – GOD PROMISES TO LEAD US TO VICTORY

The word translated "way out" in the original language means a means of clearance or successful endurance.

Fact #3 – GOD PROMISES TO LEAD US TO VICTORY

Will you allow GOD to fulfill His promise in your life, or will you choose to RELY on your OWN power.
