Basic Principles

1. All we have comes FROM GOD and BELONGS to Him.
A. God only commands that ONE TENTH of all we produce should go to Him. (Lev. 27:30)
B. We are to give God the FIRST of all we produce. (Lev. 23:10)

2. Tipping verses TITHING. Mal. 3:8, 3:9
Giving is SACRIFICIAL in nature. Luke 21:1-4
Giving is not about your money, it’s about your heart.

3. The PROMISE of giving. (vs. 10)

Unbiblical Excuses

1. I can’t AFFORD it.

2. I don’t like the LEADERSHIP.

3. If I had MORE, I would give.

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. - Luke 16:10

The defining characteristic of our managing is FAITHFULLNESS.
I Corinthians 4:2

I. Visionary Faith to see BEYOND the ORDINARY. (vs. 1-7)

• Faith is certain about what CANNOT be seen.
• Faith enabled NOAH to see beyond the ordinary.
• Faith gives CONFIDENCE and HOPE.

II. Visionary Faith to give up EVERYTHING for GOD. (vs. 8-19)

• Faith is not bound by NORMAL LIMITATIONS.
• Faith often calls for SACRIFICE.
• Faith EQUIPS and EMPOWERS us for true SERVICE.
