01-30-11 - Divine Healing

Romans 5:12 (NIV) Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned--

No one will ever have the right kind of faith to believe God for healing until he sees sickness as God sees it.
Nor will he be able to see sickness as God sees it until he knows how sickness originated.

1. THE ORIGIN OF SICKNESS
  • Sickness is the result of the result of sin entering the world.
  • Death is sickness matured or completing its work.
  • If death is the result of sin than sickness must be as well.Really we could say that sickness is due to the influence of Satan.

Gen. 3:1-8
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,
3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'"
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.
5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

Gen. 3:14-15
So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

  • So we could say that all sickness is the result of sin ultimately.
  • Our disobedience may bring about sickness.
  • Misuse of the body, in relation to diet and morals, or in not taking proper care of it is sin as well.
  • Over eating, over working, lack of rest and exercise are sins against the body and many of us are guilty of it.
  • Sickness may come upon individuals due to their murmuring and complaining. (Num.12 and16)
  • Failure to rightly discern the body of Christ in communion may bring on sickness or death.
(1Cor. 11:31-32)

It is safe to say that sickness is caused both by spiritual issues and physical issues.

Psalm 103:3
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
Isaiah 33:24
No one living in Zion will say, "I am ill"; and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven.

James 5:15
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

2. HEALING AND GOD’S WILL

F.F. Bosworth “It is impossible to boldly claim by faith a blessing which we are not sure God offers, because the power of God can be claimed only where the will of God is known.”

Mk. 9:22-23
"It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."
23 "'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes."

“If’s” defeat  faith!

3 John 2
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

3. WHAT DOES THE WORD SAY

Gen 20:17-18
Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, his wife and his slave girls so they could have children again,
18 for the LORD had closed up every womb in Abimelech's household because of Abraham's wife Sarah.

In Exodus 15 we see God Jehovah Rapha making a promise to keep the people of God from sickness.

25 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them.
26 He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."

Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 103:2-3 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Prov. 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh

Heb.13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

The scripture records 27 individual healings that Jesus performed and 10 occasions where the general healing of large groups took place.
(Mt. 4:23-25; 8:26, 12:15; 14:14, 35-36 etc.)

“And He healed all who were sick”
“As many as touched Him were made whole.”

John 20:30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.

John 14:12
“greater works than these.”

4. WHY ARE NOT ALL HEALED
A. Some seek healing before salvation.
B. Some seek healing for wrong purposes.
C. Some may look to the minister instead of Christ.
D. Disobedience or un-confessed sin.
E. Unbelief.
F. Failure to stand in faith until the answer comes.

01-23-11 PM - How to Live and Love Life

1Peter 3:10-12
10 For, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech.
11 He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."

1. ADDRESS THE TONGUE (10) …keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech.
So how do we stop or control our tongue?
A. Keep it from speaking evil.

B. Keep our lips from guile. The word guile in the Greek means deceit.
Prov. 10:18  He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
Eph. 4:31  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

2. TURN FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD (11)          KJV says “eschew” evil. Which means to shun, avoid, turn away from.
  • Flee fornication – 1 Cor. 6:18  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
  • Flee adultery – 1 Cor.10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
  • Flee hurtful lusts and the love of money – 1Tim 6:9-11 People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
  • Flee youthful lusts – 2Tim. 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
  • Flee all forms of evil – 2 Tim 3:1-5 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Luke 6:35
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Heb. 13:16
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

James 4:17
Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.

3. SEEK AND PURSUE PEACE
  (11)
he must seek peace and pursue it.

Rom. 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

4. REMEMBER LIFE’S SOURCE (12)
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."

Heb. 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Heb. 5:9  and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him

1 Cor. 14:33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints,

Acts 1:8
…but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."
Acts 1:5
For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

It’s been said that the greatest promise to the world is John 3:16  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life, and that the greatest promise to the church is Acts 1:8.
1. The name of the experience:

Acts 1:8 baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Matt. 3:11 "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Mk. 1: 8"I baptized you with water; but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

The Holy Spirit is often referred to as a Comforter, and the Greek word for this is “paracleat” which means to come along side of.

Mat 7:11  "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

2. What is the baptism of the Holy Spirit:

a) It is not Salvation/ New Birth.
  • The disciples were converted (John 1) under Jesus ministry but as much as two years later Jesus commanded them to go and wait (Lk.. 24:49) for the promise of the Father.
  • The Samaritans received Christ under the ministry of Phillip (Acts 8:5) but two days later (Acts 8:17) received the Holy Spirit under the ministry of Peter and John.
  • Paul was converted on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:5) after a personal vision of the resurrected Christ. But was baptized with the Holy Ghost under the ministry of Ananias three days later. (Acts 9:17-19).
  •  The twelve at Ephesus were believers according to Paul’s own words. (Acts 19:2)
But they later received the Holy Spirit when Paul laid his hands on them in Acts 19:6.
b) It is not Sanctification.

c) It is not just for the disciples.

In Acts 2:16 Peter stands up in front of a large crowd and says “This is that which was spoken of by the Prophet Joel”.

He didn’t say “Now this is the fulfillment of what was spoken by the prophet Joel”.

Matt. 21:4-5
4 Now this took place that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
5 "SAY TO THE DAUGHTER OF ZION, 'BEHOLD YOUR KING IS COMING TO YOU, GENTLE, AND MOUNTED ON A DONKEY, EVEN ON A COLT, THE FOAL OF A BEAST OF BURDEN.'"

a) It is a definite experience subsequent to salvation whereby the Third Person of the Godhead comes upon the believer to anoint them for special service.

b) The promise of the Father.

Luke. 24:49
"And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high."

Acts 1:4
On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.

c) The command of the Lord.
Acts 1:4
…he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.
Eph. 5:18
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

3. The purpose of the experience
Acts 1:8
…but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

1. Power for service.

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.

Acts 4:29-31
Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.
30 Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."
31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

What’s mine is yours and what’s yours is yours.
2. Power for spiritual warfare.

3. Power for ability.
  • Ability to follow.
  • Ability to respond
  • Ability to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Ability to love
  • Ability to preach
  • Ability to exercise spiritual gifts.
  • Ability to suffer persecution
  • Ability to live a holy life
  • Ability to work for God; to work lovingly, willingly, faithfully, and untiringly till He returns or our race is done.

4. How to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit
The first step would to be saved, born again, be a Christ follower.
But then there is the issue of Faith. It is a matter of believing God will send His promise upon us and that Jesus will baptize with the Holy Spirit.
Then we need to be free to yield our entire being to Him. This thought of yieldedness is fundamental to the entire spirit filled life and ministry.
Then we come to the point that is most difficult in our western culture. Tarry or wait for the promise.
The disciples waited ten days. That does not mean you will have to; it could be instantaneous, or it could be longer. Just keep seeking.

“THE MEAT AND A SLICE”
1 Peter 3:7-9

The KJV says Likewise ye wives…
The NIV says Wives in the same way…
And verse seven says Like wise husbands… or Husbands in the same way…

To what were we called? To follow in His steps!
  • Don’t be deceitful.
  • Don’t retaliate.
  • Don’t threaten.
  • Entrust yourself to the just judge.
  • Die to sin and live righteously.
  • Consider and accept what He did on the cross for you.
  • Remember where you came from, you were lost.
  • Your not a solo act you have an over seer of your soul.

1 Pet. 3:7
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

1. HUSBANDS DWELL

The Greek word to dwell means to remain with; reside with; to dwell together.

2. HUSBANDS LIVE IN KNOWLEDGE (7)

Matthew Henry states: Husbands are to dwell with the wife according to knowledge; not according to lust, as brutes; nor according to passion, as devils; but according to knowledge, as wise and sober men, who know the word of God and their own duty”.

The thought in this verse is “Don’t be caught being ignorant” of what is right and proper.

3. HUSBANDS HONOR YOUR WIFE (7)
The word “honor” means to value, to esteem, to prize, to count as precious.
Adam Clark in his commentary says The word honor signifies maintenance as well as respect; - to maintain, or provide for the wife.

Peter gives us men three areas that we can show honor to our wives.
1.    Honor as the weaker vessel.

Gal. 3:27-29
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

3. Honor aids our prayer life.

4. THE SLICE OF PEACE

peace - the working out of a supernatural unity among the born again.

A. One mind- like minded; of the same mind.

2 Cor. 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
B. Compassion- (sympathy)- to actually feel with others.
-suffer with those who suffer.
-weep with those who weep.
-rejoice when others are honored.
-hurt when others are criticized or attacked.
-grieve with the sorrows of others.
Unity demands sympathy and keeps us from becoming self absorbed/ or self centered.
C. Brotherly Love-
D. Pity- (Tenderhearted)- to be sensitive toward others needs.

E. Courteous- (most translation -humility)- humble minded or lowly minded.

Mat. 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

5. INGREDIENTS NOT TO BE FOUND
- Rendering evil for evil. Retaliatin

- Railing for railing.

01-09-11 AM - Salvation A Fundamental Truth

Click here (or right click and select "save as") to download "Salvation A Fundamental Truth"

SALVATION A FUNDAMENTAL TRUTH
John 3:16-18; Romans 10:9-13

John 3:16-18
16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.
18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Romans 10:9-13
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;

10 for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him;
13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

This whole issue of salvation hinges around the office and function of a mediator.

1 Tim. 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

Isa. 64:6
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

1. THE PROVISIONS MADE
1.    THE DEATH OF CHRIST

His death provided:

A. A Substitution- one who takes the place of another.
2 Cor. 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

B. A Propitiation- The turning away of wrath or the appeasement of God’s wrath.

1 John 4:10 Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

C. Redemption- A releasing from captivity, slavery, or death by the payment of a price.

Matt. 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life—a ransom for many.”
He redeemed us from the law and its penalty, the power of sin, and from Satan himself.

1 Cor.15:1-4 Now brothers, I want to clarify for you the gospel I proclaimed to you; you received it and have taken your stand on it.
2 You are also saved by it, if you hold to the message I proclaimed to you—unless you believed to no purpose.
3 For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

1. Our preaching would be in vain
2. Our faith would be vain
3. The Apostles would be false witnesses
4. Believers are still in their sin
5. Those that died in the Lord will perish

2. APPLICATION OF PROVISIONS

Repentance- Is a change of mind or purpose.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.

A. Repentance is a command of the Lord.
Acts 17:30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
B. Repentance brings joy in heaven.
Lk. 15:7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
C. The lack of repentance brings eternal death
Luke 13:3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

Faith- Every thing a believer receives from God he receives through faith.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Substance –foundation, or that which underlies our hope.

He who has faith has eyes for the spiritual.
Evidence- In classical Greek the word for evidence was often translated “proof”.

Justification- Being declared righteous in the eyes of God.

.
Acts 13:38-39  Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Sanctification- there are two meanings, the primary meaning is to set apart for holy use, and the secondary meaning is to cleanse or purge from moral defilement.

A. Positional- the moment a person is saved he is sanctified.
B. Practical- The daily walking out the holiness (character) of God. We might say we are perfect but not fully mature.

C. Complete Sanctification- Sinless perfection
1 Thess 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Phil. 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

01-02-11 AM - Blessings Above All Others

Click here (or right click and select "save as") to download "Blessings Above All Others"

Eph. 1:1-14

As we begin this New Year together I want to focus our attention on who we are and what we have because of the love our heavenly Father has for us.
.
Eph. 1:1-14
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--

6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace
8 that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
9 And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,
10 to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,
12 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory.

This passage is full of spiritual blessings.
1. CHOSEN TO BE HOLY AND BLAMELESS
(4) Holy = set apart.

2 Cor. 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
The word blameless = to be free from sin, dirt and filth; to be above reproach and without blemish or fault.

2. PREDESTINED TO BE ADOPTED (5-6)
5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--
6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

The Greek word (proorizo) means to set off or mark off the boundaries of something.

3. REDEEMED AND FORGIVEN (7-8)
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace
8 that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
Redemption - It carries with it the "idea of purchasing or buying back some item or person that would otherwise be lost, taken prisoner, or destroyed"

Forgiveness – to send off or away, to release or let go.

The term "riches of His grace" indicates an abundance of possession exceeding the norm.

Grace = God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.

Wisdom – (Sophia) seeing and knowing the truth.

God’s wisdom allows us to know the answers to life and death, time and eternity, good and evil and the deep things of God.

Understanding – The KJV uses the word prudence
This means to see and know how to use truth.

Eph. 1:17-19 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
4. MYSTERIES MADE KNOWN (9-10)\

Read it in Eph. 3:9-11
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

While you and I wait for this reconciling to take place He has given us the ministry of reconciliation now here on earth.

2 Cor. 5:19-20
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
All of this will be the inheritance of the believer.
The ones who places Jesus Christ in the forefront of their lives will be the ones who enjoy this eternal plan filled with the best that God ever intended for His creation.

5. THE HOLY SPIRIT (13-14)
KJV 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
NIV - deposit guarantee
Greek (arrabon) means to pledge, guarantee, a down payment.

How do you know if He is living in you?

Have you changed and become more Christ-like?

Have you had a desire to worship?

Have you had a desire to know more of the word?

Do you love to hang out with Gods people?

Have you felt the Lord directing you in any way?

Are the fruit of the Spirit more evident in your life today then the day you asked Christ to come into your heart?
Then stand up right now and begin to thank Him for His blessings in your life
